Dedicated to the memory of Tina
This site is a tribute to Tina. She is much loved and will always be remembered by family and friends alike. It contains information relating to her funeral and also the reception afterwards.
Those of you who knew Tina well will be aware of her love of colour. Accordingly, Jack has asked that if you are attending her funeral service, you wear an item of brightly coloured clothing as a memorial to Tina.
UPDATE
The collection for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Jubilee wing Acute Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (JASRU) raised £400 which, once Gift Aid was added, has risen to £500. Jack and Tina’s family are grateful for everyone’s generosity.
Tina's Funeral
Funeral service is at Mountsett Crematorium on Tuesday 27th February 2024 at 11am and afterwards at No19 Restaurant, Close House Golf Club, Heddon on the Wall, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Thank you for countless birthday cards for each and everyone of our family and wedding anniversary cards - all of which always arrived in time.

Remembering the fun nights; trying different venues and restaurants - when we enjoyed the food and red wine but then giggled like schoolgirls after we followed it with a couple of gin and tonics. Clothes shopping at designer oulets and, while spending a fortune, persuading each other that we had actually saved such a lot. Pouring over books together and sharing suggestions for authors and fiction that we had enjoyed. Recipe swapping, sharing news and photos ...
Oh I'll miss all of that, Tina, and so much more xxx

Candles
From being a small child, who visited you every Sunday morning with Grandma Chrissy, you have been there for every milestone in my life. You fuelled my love for grammar, poetry and English literature - introducing me to many authors whose work influenced me in many ways. You were such an incredible hostess (who also cultured my love of mulled wine and canapés) but above all else you were my Auntie Tina whom I loved dearly. Thank you for helping to shape me into the person I am today and for so many incredible memories. Sleep well with the angels Auntie Tina and know how much you are loved and missed xxx

Lovely memories starting in 1963 when we worked together in the MPNI at Longbenton. My mother knitted us both ‘loopy’ bonnets for the winter to keep our heads warm. We probably looked ridiculous dashing for the trolley bus at the end of the day but we didn’t care because we warm. Too many memories over 60 years but thank you for your support and inspiration,
